Generosity

I enjoy giving.  Krystal and I have always given our tithes and offerings.  It didn't just happen, but it was because our parents taught us to be givers.  I have never met anyone who regretted giving to the Lord's work.  The following is from a booklet that I have that was written by Brian Kluth.  The booklet is titled, "40 Day Spiritual Journey to a More Generous Life".  It is a devotional booklet to help people become better givers and stewards.  I want to share what I read in the "Day 28" reading.

God Will Reward You for Your Faithful Generosity
and Diligent Labors

"Giving is a giant lever positioned on the fulcrum of this world allowing us to move mountains in the next world.  Because we give, eternity will be different - for others and for us".     ~ Randy Alcorn

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Hebrews 6:10-12 (NIV) God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

"I have watched over 100,000 families over my years of investment counseling.  I always saw greater prosperity and happiness among those families who tithed than among those who didn't."
                                                                                           ~Sir John Templeton
Think about and pray about these scriptures.  Pray about them and how they relate most to your life.

One thing I know by experience is that whenever I am obedient to God, the blessings flow in my life.  Krystal and I have many testimonies of how God blessed us because we have been faithful in our giving.  If you would like more info on this devotional booklet by Brian Kluth, you can visit his website.  It is www.maximumgenerosity.org.
